♦ The Business in One Paragraph

Business context behind the case study

San Diego-based, 15 years in operation, 6,000+ clients served. Address: 3780 Swift Ave UNIT 15, San Diego, CA 92104. Phone: (619) 201-9480. Notable for transparent bundle pricing on the homepage, Carpet Refresh from $189, Carpet + Sectional Refresh $299, Whole Home Refresh $499. Wide service mix: carpet, upholstery, tile/grout, commercial, air duct, water damage, pressure washing, dryer vent, area rug, solar panel cleaning, hardwood, laminate, LVP, floor stripping/waxing, janitorial.

The Challenge

Great pricing information, weak extraction

Monster Steamer had something most home-services brands never give themselves: a clear, upfront pricing model. That's an AEO goldmine, but the site wasn't fully exploiting it. Pricing existed visually but wasn't structured for extraction. Bundle logic wasn't explained anywhere a language model could parse it. And the city competition in San Diego is brutal.

The brand voice on the site is also stronger than most, playful, confident, "monster" themed. The risk of an AEO/GEO rewrite is sanding off that personality in pursuit of machine-friendliness. We didn't want to do that.

What We Did: Added Structure Without Losing the Brand

01

Turned bundle pricing into a structured, citable resource

The homepage already showed the three bundles. We built a deeper pricing page that explains exactly what each bundle includes, what it doesn't, who each is best suited for, and what factors might change the final quote (square footage, soiling level, stairs, sectional size). We added Product/Offer schema for each bundle so price, currency, and inclusions are machine-readable. "How much does whole-home carpet cleaning cost in San Diego" now returns Monster Steamer's $499 bundle with the inclusions list as the AI answer.

02

Wrote process-clarity content without losing the brand

"What to expect on service day" is short on the homepage; we expanded it into a fuller standalone page with timing expectations, what techs do on arrival, what customers should and shouldn't move beforehand. The "Monster" branding stayed; the underlying content became something an AI can cleanly summarize.

03

Built dedicated priority-area content

For the San Diego sub-markets that drive the most revenue (La Jolla, Carmel Valley, Chula Vista, Encinitas, Pacific Beach, Mission Hills), each with a real reason to exist beyond "we serve here too."

04

Added deep San Diego-specific FAQs

Added a deep FAQ block on the carpet cleaning service page specifically targeting the questions San Diego customers ask: pet-stain depth, ocean-air humidity drying time, whether their products are safe near saltwater-rinsed clothing storage, etc. Local specificity is one of the hardest things for national competitors to fake, and it's one of the things AI engines reward most.

05

Integrated reviews from three platforms

(Google, Yelp, Facebook) into a single AggregateRating block that reflects the full social proof footprint, not just one source.

06

Strengthened bundle-page internal linking

Aggressive internal linking from the bundle pricing page to every relevant service add-on page (deodorizer, fabric protection, tile, dryer vents) so language models that crawl the site can build a clean understanding of what's available together.

What Changed

What Changed: Pricing Clarity Became a Discoverability Asset

Bundle-related queries, particularly "carpet cleaning packages San Diego" and "how much does it cost to clean carpet and a sectional", now consistently cite Monster Steamer's pricing in AI Overviews and ChatGPT.

Online bookings through their HouseCallPro booking link increased meaningfully on the bundle pages (since the AI answer brings users to a page that's already designed to convert).

The brand voice was preserved, important for the agency's own portfolio, since AEO/GEO work shouldn't be read as a strip-mining of personality.

"Carpet cleaner near me San Diego" voice queries now consistently surface Monster Steamer.
