Pay per click is the type of online advertising where you pay when someone clicks on your advt. It is an internet-based advertising model where you can get targeted traffic to your website through Google AdWords.

People usually go and search for products on Google and they find relevant results in the list some are organic results and some are paid results. PPC ad is also shown on the page. The PPC ads are usually just above or to the right of the search result so they can easily be seen. Usually on other websites what happens the ad slots are predetermined by the site designer.

There are many ways to target your customers. Some of the ways are by device, location, language, scheduling, and keyword matching. When they click on the keyword, they are redirected to the company’s landing page. Then it is on you how you convert that lead to a customer.

Search engines categorize the PPC ads under “Sponsored Ads” in the list of search results, so it stands out in the list, which makes it easier to be noticed on a page that is crowded with text and different links competing for a web user’s attention.

Why PPC marketing?

PPC marketing is the instant way to drive traffic to your website. The scenario also allows for cost per click to measure immediately against sales to determine ROI. PPC is also effective for kick-starting if a company is launching a new product or service. PPC can be used to surge traffic or to acquire huge customers while demand is high. Not like SEO, which takes time to rank on the list. PPC boots up the online presence.

The PPC ad rates vary significantly depending on the popularity of the keyword. For instance, if an advertiser wants a PPC ad targeted for the phrase ‘Fruits’, they can get a noticeable place for their ad with a very low bid and a low per-click charge. However, for a phrase such as ‘iPhone’, an advertiser can expect huge competition for a noticeable place and expect to pay premium per-click rates.

Overall, PPC ads are beneficial to advertisers. Advertisers get noticed by their target audience and are charged only for the times that their ads are clicked on and web users get to select from sites that may be relevant to the page they are viewing without having to deal with an obnoxious banner or pop-up ads that flash and distract.
